Samui International Body Painting Competition
The Koh Samui International Body Painting Competition will be held on the weekend of March 26 and 27, 2011 from 17.00 to 23.00 hrs in front of The Buddy Oriental Samui Beach Resort on Lamai Beach.
The tourism Authority of Thailand ( TAT ) along with the Koh Samui Municipality hoping to make the Samui International Body Painting Competition a world class affair to match the likes of the International Body Painting Festival in Germany, World Body Painting Festival in Austria and the Canadian Body Painting Festival.
The Samui International Body painting Competition is expected to attract many tourists from Thailand and around the world as well as international artists and models. It’s hoped that the competition will stimulate interest in Thai art and, of course, interest in the beautiful island of Koh Samui and all it has to offer.
The theme of this years Samui International Body Painting Competition is “preserve the Paradise” and everyone will be able to take part in the event and have a lot of fun. Aside from artists and models competing for the top awards there will also be nail painting, henna painting, doll painting, and painting on recycled goods. You can also be a model if you like or just have a few drinks and paint on yourself.
Koh Samui is one of the most beautiful of all Thailand islands as well as a very important tourist spot in the Gulf of Thailand which makes it a great place to experience the beauty of Thailand as well as take in some fantastic art.
This event is completely free to for everyone so why not head to Koh Samui and have a blast at the Samui International Body Painting Competition. Talen, do they paint male bodies too? The female body is indeed gorgeous (and a work of art with or without paint) but I have a particular hunkering for man things.

Nice artwork and thanks for letting us know whats going on. While I give a lot of credit to the artists much of that must also go to the being staying still long enough from them to do their art.

Hi I’m a Thai face and body painting artist based in the UK. What a fantastic idea to run an event in Thailand! How brave! Who are coming to paint at the event? I am gutted, I will miss it, I will be in Thailand the week after! Would love to know how you all get on.
