For one week in September the sands of Koh Samui will come alive with the sweet sounds of jazz music once again as the Samui International Jazz Festival 2011 once again returns from September 18th – 25th.

Koh Samui long known for it’s inviting tropical sands, warm breezes and stunning sunsets is quickly becoming known as yet another great Jazz Festival host. With the success of last years 1st annual Samui International Jazz Festival under it’s belt, Koh Samui has definitely proven itself as a destination for jazz lovers.

It all began in 2009 with successful jazz series of concerts that were extended to a once a month jazz performance somewhere on the picturesque island. It was finally decided that the next logical step would be the official Samui International Jazz Festival that would provide a week long series of concerts for jazz lovers.

Jazz concerts will take place at various locations on 11 stages throughout Koh Samui. All concerts on the main stage at Pru Chaweng will be once again be free to the public, and you can’t beat free jazz music under the stars in Koh Samui.
